Peaceful Property, on a 3 acre heavily treed lot surrounded by the peaks of Yellowstone National Park with stunning views of the Lionhead Rockies. 3 Bedrooms 2 bathrooms, 2 large living areas, plenty of space for a large group. Our large driveway can accommodate all your trailers & toys easily during the winters/summers. This lodge has every amenity you could think of, and given that we are parents of little ones, has everything you need for kids. As a Superhost, we ensure a great stay!

Welcome to Lionhead Peaks Lodge, our mountain hideaway nestled at the base of Sawtelle Peak and just outside Yellowstone National Park! Come for the park and stay for the views as you look out over the lodgepole pines at the renowned Henry’s Lake Flats and the picturesque peaks of the Lionhead Mountain Range. This property has every amenity that you may need or require, with special considerations for those families travelling with small children. It boasts large picture windows with views of the outdoors, ample deck space for dining and enjoying the summer breeze, and the tranquility of a whole property all to yourself.

Our idyllic location provides you with 3 acres of peaceful privacy while keeping you within 5 minutes of the Sam Patch Co. Grocery, gas, two adventure outfitters, the golf course, and Connie’s Restaurant. In the summer you can walk to the Island Park Festival at Sawtelle Resort, rent a tube at nearby Mack’s Inn to float from Big Springs, or ATV right from the property. During the winters, you are located right off a massive network of snowmobile trails that provide you with the opportunity to sled to many of the scenic areas include the ones to Mesa Falls, Sawtelle, and Lionhead.

As a family with young children, we know how stressful traveling can be. This home is filled with amenities to keep your kids safe, comfortable, and cared for during your stay. Safety features include: retractable gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, outlet covers throughout, magnetic cabinet latches that can be engaged in the kitchen and bathrooms, and a baby monitor with 2 cameras. Additionally we have blackout shades and sound machines in every bedroom, step stools and toddler seats in the bathrooms, bath toys and a baby bath seat, a convertible high chair/booster seat, foldable toddler helper tower, baby sit-me-up floor seat, a pack ‘n play, and a wide assortment of games and books all available at the property for your use!

PROPERTY CONFIGURATION:
1. There is a full kitchen upstairs with stunning alpine views and every amenity needed, which includes a coffee maker, crockpot, spices, and much more. The peninsula provides ample seating and counter space for cooking homemade meals which is one of the main advantages of staying at this beautiful property.

2. There is an open living area with a reclining sofa and huge windows that provide views of the mountains and forest. 360-degree swiveling leather chairs allow you to relax in conversation or turn and take in the beauty and solitude of nature.

3. A large, elevated deck extends off the living area and features an outdoor dining area, propane grill, cushioned seating, and a retractable awning. Continue to soak in the views while breathing the crisp mountain air and listening to the wind whistling through the pines.

4. There is a second living and recreation area on the ground floor, to allow more space for guests to relax and unwind from a day in Yellowstone or in the mountains. This area features sofas, a large TV, a pool table, a table for games and puzzles, and a work desk with dual monitors and high-speed fiber internet.

5. A large covered porch on on the ground floor on the front of the house has cushioned seating and is a peaceful retreat to enjoy your morning coffee in front of the colorful wildflowers that blanket the front yard each summer.

6. Near the front porch there is a firepit with bench seating and extra firewood, giving you the ability to roast marshmallows while looking at the stars on clear nights.

7. Our large driveway has more than enough space to hold your trucks, trailers, toys, boats, and even has parking space for large RVs (no electric or water hookups).

BEDROOM CONFIGURATIONS:
1. The large primary room has a king bed, TV, full length mirror, extra linens. and closet space. This room has direct access to a shared bathroom.

2. The second room upstairs has a king bed, TV, full length mirror, extra linens, and closet space. This room is located right off the living room and steps from the shared bathroom.

3. The third room, located on the ground floor, has a 2 queen beds, a TV, and extra linens. There is a shared bathroom for everyone on this floor right outside the room.

HEATING AND COOLING:
* This property has radiant in-floor heat which keeps the floors warm underfoot even in the bitter winters. In-wall electric heaters are also present throughout the home for supplemental heat if desired.

We do provide portable Acs in all the bedrooms. Even though temperatures drop to low 50s every night in the area, even in the middle of July.

Other things to note

This house can accommodate large trailers. However, be aware that during winter months this area can get a very large amount of snow (1 foot in 24 hours which is exacerbated by drifts due to strong winds) in a short period of time and even though we do our absolute best to plow the roads the crews can be overwhelmed during such times. If you plan to bring trailers then bring them at your own risk. We do not guarantee we can accommodate such a large trailer during winter storms.

You will be asked to agree an outside contract that clarifies the details and ensures proper expectations on both sides.
